A Place To Knit

Yesterday after work, I visited a local yarn shop called The Altered Stitch.  I wanted to find a place where I could just sit, knit, and be surrounded by beautiful yarn.  I can't explain it, but knitting in a yarn shop keeps me motivated and productive.

They have a wonderful yarn shop and the people that work there were very welcoming.  I'm sure 'll be back for more knitting and buying of yarn.  They are having an event today featuring a couple of indie dyers, but I decided to be responsible and stay home.  While I was there, I started knitting a Sockhead Slouch Hat with my Altered Stitch yarn purchase - Hedgehog Fibres' Skinny Singles.

Mint green is one of my favorite colors and this looks fun with all of the other colors sprinkled throughout.

I'm being responsible this weekend because I think I've decided on my next project.  I have my sweater for this winter, so I thought it would be fun to try to knit a t-shirt for warm weather.  I decided on Edie.

Isabell Kramer is the designer for the Daelyn I just knitted.  I enjoyed that project and I like the style of many of her patterns.  Edie uses linen yarn, so that'll be a new experience for me.

Knitting on Parallax still continues - only 19 more repeats to go...

Where do you enjoy knitting?
